DEDICATED
OBSERVER FOR POINT LEPREAU BIRD OBSERVATORY, NEW BRUNSWICK
The
Point Lepreau Bird Observatory
The
Point Lepreau Bird Observatory is a project of the Saint
John Naturalists' Club, and was established to monitor
the migration of seabirds in the Bay of Fundy, due to
concerns over the threat of oil spills in the Bay. Point
Lepreau functions as a major concentration area for
thousands of migrating waterfowl and they have recently
learned that there is a significant migration of three
scoter species (primarily Black and Surf) in the spring.
